@bkk7 How can you even compare the boring and dated original to this? So the Klingons look different...good! The Klingons in the original looked like white people in black face with stupid looking facial hair. The show got a long overdue upgrade and I, for one, am glad they did. So it doesn't match the canon...big deal, get over it. Now the show and movies are at least worthy to watch.

I'm sorry @jamiejosiris but you are wrong about the time period. we saw in Star Trek: ENT what Klingons looked like before TOS and it wasn't like this. They looked like TOS movies, TNG, DS9 and VOY Klingons. Their style has been completely thrown away for some costumers with so many prosthetics you can't even hear them talk. It's an insult to 50 years of canon. And hairless? They look like Remans. And since when are Klingons obsessed with gold and glam? Klingons are supposed to be spartan. This
star trek? more like star suck. i've been a fan of every series until now. Orville is way, way better.
I was promised Star Trek this month and I'm happy to say that The Orville delivered that promise. Do yourself a favour and avoid STD.
/ the Federation aren't going to take any other response/action from the one they took, to a potential Klingon armada threat that they had to face! U didn't see much if at all any sheer Cardassian ignorance & over-confidence with regards to the "general feel" or "military feel" of how the Federation / Starfleet acted - so comparing those 2 species - i just can't see it whatsoever! YES some people are going to like/love "Discovery", & others aren't! Its the same wi every other series on TV isn''t
But we have to go with what we are given don't we!?! And as for "Starfleet is like Cardarssians" - I don't see how you came up with that!? Klingons were in Federation territry, with military force at a "hails distance away" - and given the time period we are in, were relations between the Federation (as well as many other species) and Klingons are far from "good/ideal", were the Klingons haven't really been seen or heard from in a generation (or 2), one cannot believe that Starfleet
introduced, so that the storylines from episodes & series regarding the Klingons genetics, like the episode(s) I mentioned on DS9, was addressed! So yes, the Klingons appearanc2e in "Discovery", does "make sense", as it's contributing towards the already aired storylines of the genetics of Klingons in other Star Trek series!! By the time of Star Trek TNG, we see the Klingons genetics "back to normal / as they should be", just like they were ithat carries on from were "Voyager" left us!!!
bkk7 - "Klingons are not Klingons" - yes they are... well - for that time period they are! You have to remember that the "genetics" of Klingons was altered in "Enterprise", Even in DS9, were they travelled back onto the "Original" Enterprise (with Kirk), were the Klingons were again, different - Worf states, with embarrassment, that the Klingons appearence here is something they (as a species) do not talk about - which is likely why in "Enterprise", the storyline of the Klingons genetics was int
worst Star Trek, ever. very un-Star Trek. Klingons are not Klingons. Starfleet is like Cardassians. this show sucks.
Watched first 2 episodes on Netflix -- I've been waiting for this new series for quite some time and it didn't disappoint! I really like this already and it has even more potential! Can't wait for more!!!
